4th of July

GrAnDmA's HoUsE

We went to Grandma Donna's house on the 4th of July for a yummy BBQ.

It's amazing how much fun kids can have with a big pool of water and a couple of spray bottles.

Island Park Family Reunion

Fish Tales

We had our annual Baxter family reunion this year at Island Park. The only one missing from our family was Tag, who was on Trek. As soon as we got there, the boys were asking to go out to the pond and go fishing.
Daniel's parents, who manage the ranch we were staying at, found this little fishing rod for Alfalfa....I mean Crew.

He was patient as long as possible, while his dad put bait on his pole and got it ready to go.

Now, we have many men in our family, who claim to be fine, experienced and even professional fishermen. They brought their own poles and lures. What a surprise though, when Crew caught the FIRST and only fish of the day!

We took a day and went to Yellowstone. Jared showed us all his fishing spots and the place where they bury their stash. We saw a lot of buffalo and a cute little bear cub. Thanks, Jesse, for the fabulous reunion.

Disney Duals

Disney Duals

It all started with a dream....

A lot of fundraisers and hard work.

But, they finally made it. To Disney World. The happiest place on earth and home of the ESPN Wide World of Sports. This place is amazing. You can play any sport imaginable here.

But, we were here to wrestle and wrestle they did. School after school. We were up against some really tough kids. Tag and his friend Hunter, were the only freshman invited to go with the High School team. So everyone they wrestled was older than they were. We also went into every match forfeiting three and sometimes four weights because we didn't have enough kids. They did amazing.

And then IT happened. Tag got injured. He fell on his shoulder pretty hard.

The EMT who checked him out "strongly suggested" that he stop wrestling. He was diagnosed with a shoulder separation. She told him that he took the chance of damaging it worse.

But of course, Tag didn't want to leave a quitter, so he tried to finish out his match.
At this point, the boy knew his weakness, and used it to his advantage to pin him.
What a tough kid to stick it out.

Poor kid. He takes everything so hard.

He really wanted to be on this side of the park.....

They were able to watch themselves on the big T.V.'s outside.

We did finally get a smile out of him.

Good job guys!
