Disney Duals

Disney Duals

It all started with a dream....

A lot of fundraisers and hard work.

But, they finally made it. To Disney World. The happiest place on earth and home of the ESPN Wide World of Sports. This place is amazing. You can play any sport imaginable here.

But, we were here to wrestle and wrestle they did. School after school. We were up against some really tough kids. Tag and his friend Hunter, were the only freshman invited to go with the High School team. So everyone they wrestled was older than they were. We also went into every match forfeiting three and sometimes four weights because we didn't have enough kids. They did amazing.

And then IT happened. Tag got injured. He fell on his shoulder pretty hard.

The EMT who checked him out "strongly suggested" that he stop wrestling. He was diagnosed with a shoulder separation. She told him that he took the chance of damaging it worse.

But of course, Tag didn't want to leave a quitter, so he tried to finish out his match.
At this point, the boy knew his weakness, and used it to his advantage to pin him.
What a tough kid to stick it out.

Poor kid. He takes everything so hard.

He really wanted to be on this side of the park.....

They were able to watch themselves on the big T.V.'s outside.

We did finally get a smile out of him.

Good job guys!

They're Back!

The skies are a little bit brighter. The view a little more clear. The bleachers a little more crowded. The game a little more fun. The weather a little more bearable. My boys a little more proud. Now that you are back. We missed you! But, we never stopped looking for you in the crowd.

Kader

Kaden Jacob

Poor Kade has always been hiding somewhere in Tag's shadow. Slowly though, his shadow is growing larger than Tag's. He weighs in at 95 pounds and comes up to Tag's nose. He started pitching this year and has become their starting pitcher. He has a mean fast pitch.

Catcher

When Kade played his very first game of Super League he was seven. I remember him standing off to the side in tears. I went up to him and he told me that he wanted to quit. When I asked him why, he said it was because he wanted to be the catcher. I tried to explain to him that he needed a little more experience first. He informed me that catching was the ONLY reason he wanted to play baseball. If he couldn't catch, then he didn't want to play. Must be in the blood.

Batter

I don't know what is up with my boys and their tongues. Tag sticks his tongue out when he wrestles and it is a standing joke that he will bite it off one day. Now, I see that Kade does the exact same thing when he bats. He also grunts when he throws. Silly kid.

Go Yankees??

He used to be a Red Sox fan.....
We have always been Red Sox fans in this family. Jared and I went to Boston to see them and Tag and Jared flew to San Francisco to see them there.

Then somewhere along the line, one of our children moved over to the dark side.

And became a fan of the....
New York Yankees

No amount of teasing, harassing or threatening would change him back.

Then, in a rare moment, the Yankees came out to AZ to play the Diamondbacks. Jared bought tickets to two games and convinced Kade to come to AZ with him to help move some office equipment. Late that night, I snuck Kade's hat and jerseys into his luggage. Needless to say, Kade was in his ultimate element.

Kade went early to warm-ups, hoping to get some signatures on his ball.

And here he is..
